Obituary of Pete Peltier

PELTIER: Pete -

A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Orford Township (outside of Bothwell), Pete Peltier passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Friday, January 1, 2021 at the age of 78.

Raised in Jeannette's Creek and Raleigh Township, Pete was the son of Charles and Helene (Simard) Peltier.

Beloved husband of 46 years to Eleanor (nee McKeon).

Loving father to Jason Peltier (fiancee Britt Rozankovic).

Son-in-law to the late Albert and Leona (Gerber) McKeon.

Dear brother to Eileen Moor (late Stan) and Joanne Tetreault (Ed). Brother-in-law to Kathleen Peltier.

Predeceased by his brothers and their wives Raymond (Evelyn), David (Teresa), Archie (Carmel), Douglas and Jerry (Bernadette).

Dearly missed by Eleanor's siblings, Ruth Myers (Romeo), Ed McKeon (late Janet), Gord McKeon (Patti), Theresa Dupuis (Camille), Larry McKeon (Linda) and sister-in-law Val McKeon.

Predeceased by Eleanor's siblings Marie Shepley (late Jim) and Patrick McKeon.

Also missed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews as well as lifelong friends.

He loved his life on the farm and worked many years at Dinsmore Construction in Windsor and retired from International Truck and Engine Chatham Plant in 2000 after a 30 year career working with his wife Eleanor.

Pete was very active through the 1990's with Bothwell Minor Hockey and was the former co-President.

Pete and Eleanor enjoyed travelling together, including trips to Ireland, Alaska, the Caribbean and their winter home in Florida. They also enjoyed camping excursions with wonderful friends and family across North America.
