LESTER, Marilyn (nee Morse)...

A resident of Chatham, Marilyn passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the age of 86.  

Beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Lester (2010). Daughter of the late Claude and Edna Morse.

Cherished mother of Brad and Rodah Lester, Brenda and Bill Bathurst, and Brian Lester.

Predeceased by her son Robert Lester (2008) and her brothers Robert Morse (2002) and Douglas Morse (2020).

Beloved grandmother of Peter, Emmanuel (Lydia Makuto), Elijah and Namulinda Lester, Kelly and Brian Bathurst, Brandon (Tiffany Hubbard) Lester, and Jade Lester.

Dear great-grandmother of Casey, Daniel, Jordan, Serena, Carter, Cameron and Emery.

Marilyn was an extremely devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; her family was her pride and joy. She also had a fulfilling career and a fantastic network of friends.

The family wish to extend their thanks to Dr. Verburg, as well as all of those from Medical A on the 4th floor for their attention and care.

A visitation will take place for Marilyn on October 28th, 2020 from 10:30am to 12:00pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham with a funeral service to follow at 12:30pm. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Those wishing to attend are asked to sign up at the following link https://signup.com/go/ozscBbc or to call the funeral home at 519-351-2040. Only those who have previously signed up will be allowed into the funeral home. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario mandates that all  of those attending must wear masks. If you are unable to attend the service, there will be a live-stream link on the funeral home website.
