Obituary of David French Brown

BROWN: David French -

It is with such heartache I announce the passing of my sweet husband of 21 years, Dave Brown who left this earth peacefully at our home in North Carolina on August 25, 2020, at the young age of 76. Born in Ithaca, New York , Dave attended Penn State University where he received his MBA. His life’s work as Plant Manager for Libbey Glass eventually led him to Chatham, Ontario. Dave became a Canadian citizen and we continued living in both countries as dual citizens.

Dave leaves behind me, a wife that adored him, Deborah Brown (Wolfe). He is survived by his son Michael (Jennifer), his daughter, Jennifer Brown and grandchildren Isabelle, Sienna, and Tristan. Special loving dad to Jennifer Wolfe (Corie) and exceptional grandad (Knot) to Chloe and Quintin.

Dear brother to Peter and Wendy. Son-in-law to Yvonne and the late William Wolfe. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Helen Brown and wife Karen (Cope). Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

We will miss Dave’s zest for life. His love of nature, story telling, amazing boating adventures and awesome grilling and cooking. Dave also loved golfing and football, especially Penn State. Dave loved our dogs, Dirk, Dexter and Deacon and they worshipped him.

Until we meet again my Love... we look forward to sharing a Martin with you again at 5pm happy hour. Cheers, Dave!!! We will miss you so very much, you will never be forgotten .

Any charitable donations can be made in memory of Dave to the Nature Conservancy of Canada and would be appreciated.

Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
