Barnier, Louella Yvonne (nee Demers)

Louella Barnier passed away at Copper Terrace Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the age of 81. 

Born in Dover Township on May 22, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Herman & Elsie (nee Caron) Demers.

She is reunited with her beloved husband of 61 beautiful years, the late Francis Barnier Sr. (September 9, 2019).

Dear mother of the late Carol Ann Emery of Chatham, Francis (Maryann) Barnier of Chatham, & Allan (Lisa) Barnier of Tilbury. 

Grandmother of Stephanie, Diana, Brendan, Dustin & Kyle, and great-grandmother of Chayce, Logan & Harper.

Sister of Oscar Demers (Eileen), the late Loretta Brosseau (the late Alphonse) and the late Theresa St. Pierre (the late Shirley).

Sister-in-law of the late Peggy Demers, Gerry (Janet) Barnier, & Neil (Claudette) Barnier. 

Aunt to many nieces & nephews. 

Louella was a kind soul who enjoyed spending time with her family. She could often be found doing crossword puzzles and playing cards. 

Visitation will take place at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St, Chatham on Sunday, September 27 2020. A Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Monday. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, those hoping to attend the Visitation and Service must schedule a time online at https://signup.com/go/tCvtNyg or phone us at 519-351-2040. No one will be permitted at the Visitation or Service without a scheduled time. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has mandated that everyone attending must wear a mask.  

Cremation to follow with a Private Family Service at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date.
