Ferris, Donald GARTH


Garth Ferris, a resident of Dover Township, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Friday, July 24, 2020 at the age of 64.

Born in Brantford, Garth was the son of the late Donald & Shirley (nee McKellar). 

Dearest companion of Corrie Aikenhead. 

Remembered always by his four daughters, Kim, Kara (Brad), Katie & Hannah. 

Grandfather of Ricky Boyce (Sara), Emily Christiaens, Rhylin Potter, and Addilyn Potter.

Brother of Kevin Ferris and his wife Diane, brother-in-law of MaryAnna, Jennifer & Phillip and son-in-law of Marilyn Stoffyn. 

Missed by his nieces & nephews. 

Garth worked for Rims Transport in Woodslee for three years, previously worked for Cargill and drove truck for Preferred Trucking. Garth was an avid camper and had many friends that will miss seeing him at Windsor Campground. He loved Saturday Night Hockey and watching March Madness every year. Garth loved animals and his midnight snacks, was horrible at home renos, loved listening to country music as well as spending time with his family and grandchildren. He had a heart of gold and will be very missed by his many friends and family. 

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday, July 27, 2020.

No one will be permitted at the visitation without a scheduled time. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario have mandated that everyone attending must wear a mask. 

As per Garth's wishes, cremation to follow.
