Thursday, May 21, 2020Uncle Doug will be missed by all who knew him. He was an incredible listener, and always offered thoughtful bouts of wisdom and guidance. I was always glad to see him and encouraged by the kindness and respect he showed everyone around him. His joyful presence will be greatly missed. However, goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation. He will be in or hearts and minds forever.

Thursday, May 21, 2020Uncle Doug was a caring and incredible soul. He was always encouraging and wanted to know what was going on in our lives. He had a way of making you feel as if you were the most important person in the room. He had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest with his many adventures and the love he showed to all that meant a lot to him. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

Monday, May 18, 2020On behalf of the Lester family I would like to thank my uncle's personal support worker Neil Goulet, provided through Senior Home Care by Angels. Neil provided professional, caring and competent, support to my uncle over the past 2 years. This allowed Doug to remain in his home through to the time of his passing. On many occasions Doug expressed his profound appreciation for Neil and the wonderful support he provided. Each week Neil kept Doug's apartment clean, got his groceries, washed his laundry and generally made sure Doug was well cared for. Neil's reliable and trustworthy support helped bring comfort to my family and we are forever grateful for the quality care he provided.
