Obituary of Bob Cumming

A lifelong resident of Chatham, Bob passed away peacefully at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the age of 86. Born December 25, 1933 to the late Charles & Mary (nee Quick) Cumming. He is lovingly remembered by his best friend & fiancée, Elsie Lou Predeceased by his sister, Marjorie Uncle of Robin (Ron), Ann (Jean Guy) & Nancy (Roger). Special Uncle to Nancy (Mike), Linda (Don), Diane (Tim) and Rob (Pam) Fur Dad to many beloved Shelties and recently cats. Robert was the proud owner and operator of Cumming's Variety Store in Charing Cross for 39 years while simultaneously serving as Post Master for 30 years. He was a member of Wellington-Victory Masonic Lodge #46 AF & AM and served as one of its youngest masters, Chatham Lodge of Perfection, Kent Chapter of Rose Croix, Moore Sovereign Consistory, Mocha Shrine Temple - London, Achom Shrine Club - Chatham and the Wellington-McNabb Chapter #47, Royal Arch Masons. Bob served all these institutions with honour and great enjoyment especially after his retirement. As per Bob's wishes, a Private Family Service will take place with Burial in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
