Obituary of Alex Speller

SPELLER: Alexander Earl "Alex" - of Chatham, passed away at home with his family at his side on Thursday, February 27, 2020. Born in Chatham, Ontario, son of the late Earl and Kitty Lou (Pardo) Speller. Survived by wife Randa (Rossini), daughter Angela, son Avery, brother David and wife Donna of London, their daughter Madeline, fuzzy friend Minou and the many Rossini family members. Alex was an active member of the parish prayer team at Holy Trinity/St. Paul's Church Chatham. He passed away suddenly after a brief illness and a long battle with cancer. In high school, Alex played basketball for CCI before attending and playing for Sir Sandford Fleming College, where he graduated from the Forestry Program. He worked for the MNR briefly before he began a long and varied career within the automotive industry. Alex was an avid model railroad aficionado. He enjoyed woodworking as well as watching his children's travel sports careers. He was also anticipating the finale of the television series the "Curse of Oak Island". Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday, March 2, 2020 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 81 Selkirk Street, Chatham at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Cremation has taken place with a private family interment to be held at a later date. Donations made in memory of Alexander to the Holy Trinity/St. Paul's Church or Windsor Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
