Obituary of Barbara Ann Tetzlaff

 

Tetzlaff, Barbara Ann (nee Drummond)

Barbara passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice at the age of 86.

Barbara was born in Mercy Township on May 11, 1933 and was the daughter of the late David and Annie (nee Wales) Drummond.

Beloved wife of Kenneth Tetzlaff of Chatham for 66 years.

Loving mother of Todd and Darlene Tetzlaff of Dresden and Terry Tetzlaff of Chatham.

Sadly missed by grandchildren Rachel (Greg Blonde), Amanda (Connor Critchfield) and William (Demetria Attinello).

Dear sister of Bernice (Ed Woelk) and Lavoine (late Robert Patchett) all of Leamington. Predeceased by brother Jim Drummond, sisters Shirley McKeen, Joyce Knight and Nancy Woollven, half brothers/sisters Roy Hyatt, Glen Hyatt, Evan Hyatt, Dorothy Mills, and Pearl Imeson.

Barbara adored her family and took great pride in making her house a home. Her thoughtfulness extended to her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her standards were always high, her advice was candid and unfiltered. All came from the heart.

At Barbara’s request cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery, 55 Maple Leaf Drive, Chatham, ON, on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11:00 am with a Celebration of Life to be follow at 12:00 pm at McKinlay Funeral Home Reception Centre, 463 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barbara to the Chatham-Kent Hospice would be appreciated.
