Peet, Renskjen "Reinie" (nee Burghgraef)
A resident of Chatham, Reinie Peet was called away by the Lord, peacefully on Friday, November 2, 2018, on her 91st birthday.
Born in Hieslum, Friesland, The Netherlands. Reinie was the daughter of the late Broer & Sybrigje (nee Buma) Burghgraef.
Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Cornelis Peet (2017).
Loving mother of Anna Bastien (Jerry) of Windsor, Susan Peet (David Paré) of Ottawa, Charles Peet (Karen Dysarz) of Rondeau, Brian Peet of Ottawa, the late Garnet Peet (1987) (Konnie) of Grimsby, Judith Peet (Don Cameron) of Erie Beach, Christopher Peet (Tatiana) of Edmonton.
Proud Oma of 12 grandchildren: Christopher Hammerton, Barry Hammerton, Casey-Anne Paré, Liam Paré, Joseph Peet, Kees Peet, Neil Peet (Benissa), Antonia Cameron (Wayne Holmes), Cassidy Cameron, Ian Cameron, Logan Smarch and Hannah Peet, 4 great-grandchildren: James Gregson, Levi Holmes, Cedric and Everett Peet and 3 step-granddaughters: Terri Bastien-Trepanier (Luc), Tonia Malott (John) and MaryAnne Malott (Will).
Predeceased by her brothers and sisters.
She will be remembered fondly by her many friends and extended family, near and far.
Reinie was a faithful member of her church community and long-time resident of South Chatham Village. Her loves were travellig, staying in touch with family & friends and listening to their stories.
Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Living Hope Free Reformed Church, 159 Gregory Drive East, Chatham at 11:00 am on Tuesday with Pastor Tim Bergsma officiating. Interment to follow at Arnold Cemetery.
