Obituary of Winnifred Nesdoly

NESDOLY: Winnifred (nee Reaume) -

A resident of Chatham, Winnifred Nesdoly passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the age of 96.

Born in Chatham, Winnifred was the daughter of John and Pearl (King) Reaume.

Beloved wife of the late Isaac Nesdoly (1999).

Dear mother of Marlene Soulard and her husband Leonard of St. Clair Shores, Michigan,

Vaughn Smith and her husband Brian of Chatham, Mark Anthony Nesdoly of Chatham and the late Allan Nesdoly.

Proud grandmother of Michelle Soulard (Dave Lewis), Micheal Nesdoly (Meighen), Carrie Smith, Elisa Nesdoly-Cartwright (Jason) and BrieLynn Smith.

Great-grandmother to Cade, Rhys and Trent Nesdoly; Mekenzie and Bryton Green; Allan Cartwright; Thomas and Alexandra Dudgeon.

Winnifred was the last surviving member of her family. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

She enjoyed crocheting, exploring the back roads of Ontario, the Stratford Festival, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Winnifred will be remembered for her unique sense of humour.

Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Cremation to follow with a private family interment to be held at St. Anthony Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Winnifred to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Muscular Dystrophy Canada would be appreciated.
