Obituary of Dennis Martin

Martin, Dennis

With very heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of the greatest father, grandfather, great-grandfather, husband, brother, and friend.

He was a very proud Canadian Veteran of the Canadian Navy where he started his family in Nova Scotia with his beloved wife Carol, raising his three wonderful children Lisa, Dan, and Jane.

He belonged to the Branch 28 Legion where he was a member of the esteemed Colour Guard back in Chatham. 

He worked as a tool and die maker at Superior Tool and Die where he retired in 2005. 

Dennis was an avid golfer and loved all sports. He spent his summers with his family at Sunny Beach, Erieau with his Sunny Beach Family. 

He adored his family and friends and will be immensely missed by anyone that had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his brother Gerry Martin, daughter Lisa Bechard, son, Dan and Joan Martin, and daughter Jane Martin. 

Papa to Patrick, Darrin (April), Timothy (Tab), Madison, Ashley (Brock), Daniel, Lindsay (Chad), Hanna (Darcy), Connor, and Kye. 

Great-grandfather to Landin, Jordan, Rylee, Brooklynn, Kayden, Karson, Leigha, Hailey, Ryan, Peyton, and great-grandbaby #11 due in November.

He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. 

Dennis is predeceased by his beautiful wife Carol, son-in-law Tim Bechard, parents Jack & Grace Martin, brothers Terry, Lynn, and Arthur Martin.

There will be no Funeral Service, as per Dennis but there will be a wake at 304 St. Clair St., Chatham (previously Branch 28 Legion) on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm

His amazing spirit lives on.
