Wright, Gordon Eskritt

Gordon passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the C-K Hospice at the age of 87.

He was born in Ridgetown on February 5, 1931 and was the son of the late George Oliver and Elsie Blum (Eskritt) Wright.

He was a longtime resident of Chatham.

Beloved husband of the late Ruth (Robson) Wright for 58 years.

Loving father of Donna Robertson of Chatham and Linda (Peter) Durst of Stittsville.

Dear grandfather of Sarah (Dave) O'Grady, Mellisa (Tim) Orvis and Kevin (Jessica) Durst and great-grandfather of Olivia, Owen, and Evelynn O'Grady and Audrey and Clark Durst.

Caring brother of Don (Pat) Wright of Thamesville, Margaret (the late Ernest) Laprise of Ridgetown and Gladys Fitzpatrick of Wallaceburg.

Kind brother-in-law of Virginia Wright of Ridgetown, Joyce Hall of Chatham and Joan Mayor of King's Corner.

Predeceased by his brother, Jim Wright and his brothers-in-law, Robert Hall and Kerry Mayor.

Missed by many nieces, nephews and extended families.

Gordon enjoyed traveling and loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday September 6, 2018 from 2-4and 7-9 pm at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham.

The Funeral Service to celebrate Gordon's life will take place at 10:00 a.m on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the McKinlay Funeral Home with Gabriella Cutler, officiating.

Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.

Donations in memory of Gordon may be made to the C-K Hospice Foundation and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
