ROBBINS: Yvonne (nee Shreve) -

A resident of North Buxton, Yvonne Robbins passed away peacefully at the London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Hospital on Monday, August 6, 2018 at the age of 82.

Born in Chatham, Yvonne was the daughter of the late Ervin and Erma Shreve.

Beloved wife of 55 years to the late Charles 'Dave' Robbins (2006) and to Richard Carter for 10 years.

Loving mother of Michael Robbins (Joy) of Pain Court, Shannon Prince (Bryan) of North Buxton, Timothy Robbins of North Buxton and Ellen Robbins of Chatham. Step-mother to Kimmerly Dickey (Randy), Geoffrey Carter (Krista), Pam Lacelle (David) and Jason Carter and their families.

Cherished Gram of Shaun, Heather, Michelle (Adam), Chris (Aimee), Justin (Laura), Melanie (Jerrod), Rebecca (Cameron), Andrae (Karen), Stephany (Jess) and Adam.

Great-Gram of seven great-grandchildren (with two on the way).

Dear sister to Orion Shreve (Delia), Greg Shreve (late Joyce) and Vernell Shreve (Deanna).

Sister-in-law to Gwen Robinson and Nikki Travis.

Predeceased by her brother Sherwill 'Chubby' Travis, brothers-in-law Laverne Robbins (late Arlie), John Robinson, sisters-in-law Marion Bowles (late Joe), Vivian Chavis (late Austin) and Hilda Dudley (late James), daughter-in-law Bonnie Robbins, granddaughter Evangeline and great-granddaughter Kaiya.

Dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Yvonne retired from the Public General Hospital after 25 years of service. She worked the family farm with her husband Dave and family.

She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, canning and being around her family. She was the past president of the Home and School Association, and a member of the North Buxton Maple Leaf Band, the North Buxton Community Club and the North Buxton Community Church. She was also a board member of the Buxton Museum.

Cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Yvonne's Life to be held at a later date.

Donations made in memory of Yvonne to the Alzheimer Society or Buxton's Next Generation (cheque payable to Buxton National Historic Site and Museum) would be appreciated.
