Bob passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the age of 98.
Bob was born in Chatham on March 23, 1920 and was the son of the late Albert and Gladys (Grocott) Warren.
Bob served with the RCAF 408 Squadron and was overseas from 1942-1945 and was a lifelong resident of Chatham.
He was a Government Grain Inspector with the Canadian Grain Commission until his retirement. He recently received his 70year pin from the Royal Canadian Legion in Chatham and was an avid member of the Legion Pipe Band.
Beloved husband of the late Aileen Olive (Boyer) Warren (2011).
Dear father of Michael and Shirly of Chatham, Jim and the late Debbie of Nairn and John and Terri of Chatham.
Sadly missed by grandchildren, Joel (Patty), Peter (Joanne), Jake, Sarah (Sean), Ian (Melissa), Eric (Kaylyn) and a great-grandaughter, Charlotte.
Kind brother of Ron (Gladys), Norm (Delanore) and Charmain.
Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brother Denny (Inez) and his sisters, Ursula (George) and Millicent.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON, on Thursday April 12, 2018 from 6-9 p.m.
A Legion Service will be held Thursday evening, April 12, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. at the McKinlay Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Anderson, officiating.
