Marty passed away peacefully at his home, on Thursday, Nov 09 in his 69th year. He is survived by his loving wife Sheila (Thompson).

Marty was the oldest of the Satchell brothers and will be dearly missed by his brothers Don (Nancy Pietens) Satchell and David (Sandra) Satchell. He was a much loved brother-in-law of Nancy and Wes Thompson. Marty was so proud of his nieces and nephews; Sarah (TJ) Rylett, Lauren Satchell, Rebecca Satchell, Elizabeth (Brent) Rumble, Lydia Thompson and Holly Thompson; Nick Pietens and Nathan Pietens; great niece Reece Rumble and great nephews Levi Rumble and Emmett Rylett. They were all such a blessing to him and have brought him such great joy in his life.

Marty will also be greatly missed by his life-long friend Bob McBride (Bonnie Pinsonneault).

He is predeceased by his parents Ed (1994) and Peggy (Farquhar) (1991) Satchell. He was also the treasured son-in-law of the late Ken (2017) and Helen (1998) Thompson. After working for 42 years in the grocery business at AandP and Food Basics, Marty retired in 2011. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his friends and family.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Private family graveside service will follow at Craford Cemetery. If desired, charitable donations in memory of Marty may be made to the Friends of the New Animal Shelter or Canadian Lung Association.
