Obituary of Raymond Matheson
MATHESON: Raymond Herman 'Mick' -
A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Toronto, Ray Matheson passed away at Copper Terrace Long Term Care Home on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the age of 74.
Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, son of the late Murdoch and Ida (Ward) Matheson.
Beloved husband of 44 years to Judith (nee Rogers).
Survived by sisters Ida Winstanley, Bernadette Dixon, Carmella Gillis, Bev Brown, Ethel Tennant, Maria Tutty and Delores Young and brothers Wayne, Bernie, Blair and Reeves. Predeceased by brothers Sonny, Jimmy, Owen, Gerald and Paul.
Brother-in-law to Dan Rogers of Blenheim.
Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Ray worked as a custodian at Indian Creek Public School and John McGregor Secondary School until his retirement after 18 years of service.
Cremation has taken place with a Memorial Service to be held at a later date.
Donations made in memory of Raymond to the Parkinson Society or Salvation Army (Food Bank) would be appreciated.
