A lifelong resident of Chatham, Kay Seed passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the age of 84.
Born in Chatham, Kay was the daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret (Shelley) McFadden.
Beloved wife of the late Bill Seed (2016) and the late Chuck Oulds (1981).
Loving mother of Michael Oulds (Shanti) of Chatham and Ted Oulds (Gail) of Calgary.
Proud Grandma of Charlene Wilcox (Chris) of Windsor and Michelle Begin (Remi) of Rodney.
Great-Grandma to Keegan, Emmett, Ella and Tyler.
Dear sister of Bennie McFadden of Chatham.
Special aunt to Marsha Handsor (Don) of Dresden.
Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Kay retired from Sonoco Containers after 28 years of service and had also worked at Wallaceburg Glass. She thoroughly enjoyed painting, ceramics, weaving, and creating many crafts. Kay loved going camping out at Wildwood with her family and friends.
Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until the Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. with Charlie Slade officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
Due to Kay's love for animals, memorial donations have been requested to be made to the Pet and Wildlife Rescue or the Friends of the New Animal Shelter.
