Obituary of Ada Brown

A resident of Chatham, Ada B. Brown died at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Thursday, September 28, 2006, at the age of 79. Born in Chatham, to the late John & Mable (Merritt) McClellan. Beloved wife of the late William 'Bill' Brown. Loving mother of Brad & Bonnie Brown, Port Stanley ON, and Wendy & Bernie Waddick, Victoria BC. She will be sadly missed by grandchildren Kevin & Kerrin Brown, Heather Brown & Phil DeRuiter, Courtney & Brent Popowich, and Corynn Waddick & Corey Scott. Ada is survived by sisters Bertha Eastcott, Chatham Township, Betty Cowan, Chatham, Alta Fisher, Sarnia, and brother John & MarieMcClellan, Chatham. Mrs. Brown was a charter member of Sprucedale United Church, Flying Officer Austin Wright Chapter I.O.D.E. and Chatham Granite Club. Ada's family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., on Friday, September 29, 2006 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2006, from the Funeral Home, with Pastor Pat Milliken officiating. Cremation has taken place with interment at a later date. Memorial donations made by cheque to the Heart & Stroke foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society are welcomed.
