Obituary of Lionel Tremblay

A resident of Chatham, Lionel J. Tremblay ("Blackie" or "Snell") died at his residence on Monday, August 21, 2006 at the age of 75. Born in Tilbury, son of the late Arthur and Aldea (Tetreault) Tremblay. Beloved husband of Jean (Thompson) Tremblay for 55 years. Loving father of Larry Tremblay of Windsor, David and Heather Tremblay of Union, Brian and Johanna Tremblay of Chatham, Sharon and Ron Moore of Chatham, Laurie and Jim Cox of Tilbury East and Gayle and Ron Yanch of St. Thomas. Grandfather of 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great grandchild. Brother of Philias and Margaret Tremblay of Harrow, Gloria Riberdy of Chatham, Pauline and Joe Ford of Trout Creek and predeceased by 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Lionel was an autobody repairman in Chatham for 25 years and a well known Car Salesman until his recent illness. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2006 from the Funeral Home with Rev. Susan Jolley officiating. Interment Botany Cemetery. Donations, made by cheque, to the Canadian Cancer Society appreciated.
