Obituary of Rose Catherine Benninger

BENNINGER: A resident of Chatham, Rose Catherine Benninger passed away at Meadow Park Nursing Home in her 93rd year. Born in Formosa to the late Alex and Regina Becker. Loving wife of 57 years to the late Albin Benninger (1996). Beloved mother of Eugene Benninger & wife Theresa, and Gary Benninger & wife Heather all of Chatham. Predeceased by infant son Albert (1940). Rose will be sadly missed by grandchildren Gregory & Sarah Benninger of Amherstburg, Kelly & Brett Eagan, Tracy & Jim Callaghan, and Jason Benninger and his friend Megan Stacey, all of Chatham. Great grandmother to Jordan & Lauren Eagan, Destiny Pailey, Khailey & Jarrod Benninger, Justin & Cameron Callaghan and Brady Benninger. Step Grandmother of Wade Brackenbury, Darren Brackenbury, and Nicole McCutchen. Step great grandmother of Quentin & Kaprice Brackenbury and Ty McCutchen. Sister to Gertie Millen of Teeswater, Della Schaefer, Helen & Gerald Schmidt all of Mildmay, Catherine Schneider of Walkerton, Betty Van Osch of Lucknow, the late Joan Geotz (2004) Magnese (1961), Beatrice (1936) and Marie Thompson (2002). Rose and Albin resided in Prairie Siding and Chatham area since 1939. She was a member of St. Peter's Church in Tilbury east township and St. Agnes Church. She recieved her 50 year pin from the C.W.L. and was a longtime knitter for the Goodfellows. Family will recieve friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. on Monday from 2:00 - 4:30 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with parish prayers at 3:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Agnes Catholic Church with Fr. McNamara, Celebrant. Interment at St. Anthony's Cemetery. Memorial donations made by cheque to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Myles Miracle Mission are welcomed.
