Morgan: Ronald Victor
Ronald passed away with his family by his side at Fairfield Park Nursing Home, Wallaceburg, ON, on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the age of 87.
Born in Chatham, Ronald was the son of the late Victor and Florence (nee Wood) Morgan.
Retired from a great career with Chatham Hydro and Union Gas, Ron spent many happy years sailing with his wife Fran as a member of the Erieau Yacht Club in his hand built "Eau Buoy". He was also a stained glass and woodworking craftsman as well as a BBQ aficionado. Ron served for many years with the Chatham Kent Regiment as a Major. His greatest joy was being a proud and doting grandfather and great-grandfather.
Beloved husband of 64 years to the late Mary Frances (nee Sherman) Morgan (2016).
Loving father of Mary "Malu" Comboye of Port Lambton and Robert and Pauline Morgan of White Rock, B.C.
Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Michael (Cari) Comboye, Andrea (Adrien) Coutu, and Devin Morgan. Also by great-grandchildren, Brody Comboye and Fletcher and Evie Coutu.
Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his great-grandson Liam Comboye (2017) and his sister Joyce Hollis (2007).
Cremation has taken place.
Family and friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON, on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 6-8 p.m.
