Cox, Murray "Bud" Murray George "Bud" Cox passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the age of 91. Born in Tilbury East, son on the late Walter and Emma (Goodyer) Cox. Beloved husband of Mary Byrl (nee Fox) of 61 years. Loving father of Brian and Karen Cox, Deborah and Tom Payne, Joyce and Dave Stewart; James and Laurie Cox. Cherished grandpa of 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Sadie Hornick and brother-in-law of Marian Cox and Neil Fox. Predeceased by his siblings Bernard, Margaret, Ernest (Bill); brothers-in-law Donald Hornick and Carlyle Stevenson and sisters-in-law Celina Cox, Ruth Fox; Jean and Doug Bailey. Bud loved his family, farming and the church. Friends will be received at the funeral home 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Maple City Baptist Church, 500 Indian Creek Rd. W. Chatham on Friday, March 3rd at 11:00am with Pastor Rick Dressler officiating. Interment Stewart Cemetery, Merlin. Donations may be made in Memory of Bud to the Gideon's, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Charity of your Choice.
