Obituary of Lois Marion Pepper

Pepper, Lois Marion (nee Palmer) - of Chatham, passed away at Riverview Gardens, Chatham, on Friday December 9, 2016, age 73. Born in Woodstock Ontario to parents the late Ross Palmer and Mildred Stevens. Loving wife of James "Jim" Gordon Pepper. Beloved mother of Janet and husband Bob Gargano of Thornhill and John Pepper of Brentwood, Tennesse. Grandmother of Corey, Ryan and Tim. Sister of the late Ronald Palmer of Woodstock. Lois loved music. Through the years she shared her musical gifts with various organizations. She was the organist at St. Paul's Congregational Church, where she also directed the Junior Choir. She was the organist and adult choir director at St. Paul's Anglican Church. Lois accompanied the Laudate Dominum Choir and sang in the Cultural Chorale. For several years she organized the Kiwanis Music Festival. Lois was an Explorer Girls leader at Victoria Ave United Church, directed events at Kenesserie Camp, and was the registrar for St. Paul's Outdoor Ministries' and Adullam Camp Ministries' summer camping programs. The organizations' Choral Camp in particular, was very dear to her heart. Lois began her career as a teacher at McKeough Public School in Chatham. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's Congregational Church Church, 450 Park Ave W, Chatham on Saturday January 7, 2017 at 2pm. Burial will be held in the Pardoville-Union Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Lois may be made to Chatham Kiwanis Music Festival or Adullam Camp Ministries.
