KEMSLEY: Alfred (Alf) Tom - A resident of Chatham, Alf Kemsley passed away at St. Andrew's Residence on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the age of 95. Born in Brampton, ON, Alf was the son of the late Alfred and Mary (Smith) Kemsley. Beloved husband of 64 years to the late Joan Kemsley (nee Dennis) (2009). Loving father to Rodger Kemsley (Mary) of London, ON and Tom Kemsley (Nancy) of Chatham, ON. Cherished grandfather to Jennifer and Wayne Tellier of Tecumseh, ON, Janet and Aaron Riesebois of Wallaceburg, ON, Todd and Rosana Kemsley of Belle River, ON, and great-grandfather of 4. Predeceased by his daughter-in-law Jane Kemsley (nee Allison) and his brother Sydney Kemsley (2014) (late Barb, 2010). Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Alf and his wife Joan were the former owners of Alf Kemsley The Rosery Florist Ltd. in Chatham from 1946 - 1981. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving the RCAF in England for five years. He was a member of the RCAF Wing 411 in Chatham. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 10:00am, until the Veteran Service at 11:00 am. A Funeral Service will follow with Rev. Elaine Wilcox officiating. A private family interment will be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations made in memory of Alf to St. Andrew's Residence Foundation or to the Erie St. Clair Community Care Access Centre would be appreciated.
