Obituary of Shirley Mae Pumfrey

Pumfrey, Shirley Mae Shirley died peacefully with her family by her side at Riverview Gardens, Chatham, ON, on Tuesday July 19, 2016 at the age of 87. Shirley was born in Thamesville and was the daughter of the late Albert Savage and Lillian Bluitt. She was a longtime resident of Chatham, a member of Sprucedale United Church and was a retired public school teacher. Loving wife of the late Lorne Edward Pumfrey (2000). Dear mother of Arthur and Janice Pumfrey of Kent Bridge, Richard and Karen Pumfrey of Thamesville and Sherry Pumfrey of Chatham. Sadly missed by grandchildren, Lorne, Kevin, Heather, Tracy, Ryan, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Predeceased by two children, Gordon and Lorna, a grandson and a brother Glenn Savage. Family to receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON, on Thursday July 21, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at the McKinlay Funeral Home on Friday July 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Sunni Shular officiating. Interment in Sherman Cemetery, Thamesville. Donations in memory of Shirley to Sprucedale United Church would be appreciated.
