Obituary of Chad Everett Smith

A resident of Chatham, Chad Everett Smith died suddenly as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Sunday, July 23, 2006 at the London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Campus at the age of 25. Born in Chatham, son of Nancy and Jim Smith of Chatham. Beloved husband of Sarah (Kay) Smith. Brother of Marlo and Jeff Jaques of Chatham. Grandson of Leon and Pat Eaton of Glencoe and Doris McKellar of Bothwell. Son-in-law of Dave and Janet Kay of Chatham. Brother-in-law of Stacey and Heidi Kay of Mitchell's Bay and uncle of Brady. Grandson-in-law of Katherine Lee and Lorna Kay both of Chatham. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Chad will be greatly missed by his "furry son" Judge. Chad was an employee of Worthington Cylinders of Tilbury. He was a member of the Tuesday Night Men's League at Deer Run Golf Course and the Brew Crew Lob Ball Team. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2006 from the Funeral Home with Rev. Evelyn Carpenter officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations, made by cheque, to London Health Sciences Centre, Trauma Unit appreciated.
