Obituary of Purvis Littlejohn

LITTLEJOHN: A resident of Ridgetown, John Purvis Littlejohn passed away at his home on Thursday, June 8, 2006 in his 84th year. Purvis was born in Orford Township and lived much of his life farming there. He was a Charter Member of the Ontario Economic Council, former member of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, and former member and Chairman of the Kent County Separate School Board. Son of the late Roy Littlejohn and Jean Purvis. Loving father of John Littlejohn and his wife Joy of Aurora, Janet Littlejohn of Kitchener, Mark Littlejohn and his wife Cheryl of Highgate, and and Karen Harrop and her husband Keith of New Zealand. Sadly missed by 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by sister Catherine Gradwell (Robert). Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Sunday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, June 12, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Donald MacMillan officiating. Interment in Gosnell Cemetery, Highgate. Donations by cheque to the Salvation Army or the London Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated.
